Best Doctoral Thesis in Nanomedicine Award to Nuria Lafuente

2023.09.29 somoza palomo best thesisDr. Nuria Lafuente, former doctoral researcher in the Nanobiotechnology Group at IMDEA Nanociencia, has received the Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis in Nanomedicine 2022-2023 awarded by 'Conexión Nanomedicina CSIC' and the Specialised Group on Colloids and Interphases of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics and the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry. Nuria's thesis, entitled "Functionalised Magnetic Nanoparticles for Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment'', was defended in July 2022 at IMDEA Nanociencia. Nuria's thesis also received the Prize for the Best Thesis awarded by the Specialised Group of Biological Chemistry of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry.

Dr. Carlota Tosat, former predoctoral researcher of the  'Biosensors in Neuroscience' Group, has received the Honourable Mention of this Award, for her thesis "Biosensors to evaluate drug efficacy in neurodegenerative diseases".
