Human resources strategy
IMDEA Nanociencia endorses the 40 principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (C&C) and is fully committed to fully implement through a Human Resources Strategy for Researhcers (HRS4R).
The process to obtain the recognition ‘HR excellence in research award’ started in 2020 meaning that IMDEA Nanociencia is undergoing the internal analysis to assess the current alaigment of the HR policies with the principles of the C&C.
MDEA Nano is a EURAXESS contact point, part of its commitment to contribute to research mobility and strengthen the Madrid area’s attractiveness and sustainability as a research destination. With the provision of information and assistance to researchers from the selection process right through all of their stay. Topics covered include visa & residence procedures and information, family and day-to-day issues, and career development opportunities.
The ‘HR Strategy for Researchers’ supports research institutions and funding organizations in the implementation of the Charter & Code in their policies and practices.
The implementation of the Charter & Code principles by research institutions render them more attractive to researchers looking for a new employer or for a host for their research project.
The European Commission recognizes with the 'HR Excellence in Research Award' the institutions which make progress in aligning their human resources policies to the 40 principles of the Charter & Code, based on a customized action plan/HR strategy.
